Objectives

This World Forum 2007 will attempt to assess and review the progress made so far and shall discuss and deliberate on how children can gain from the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.
It also proposes to address contemporary issues vis a vis the Millennium Development Goals and its impact both positive and negative and promote awareness as well as challenge the civil society and Governments to achieve these goals.
This gain will be substantial only if children’s voices are heard; their domestic conditions are improved, if distortions in international markets are corrected, and if more representative institutions of local and global governance are created. In the absence of these changes, the Millennium Development Goals will benefit only a minority of the world’s children.
